Aug. 03, 2012  We are camped at a memorial site where 12 American Soldiers drowned that were part of the work force that built the Al-Can Highway (Alaskan Highway). Today we passed a caravan of restored WWII vehicles at Mile post 0. They will begin to caravan to Fairbanks in honor of the men that built this highway tomorrow. At Fairbanks there will be a 70th Anniversary Memorial commemorating the soldiers that built the road. We hope to be there.
