Omak Washington to Wenatchee Washington to the Monitor City Camp Ground 9-2-12

Working our way through river valleys with lakes that are created by the dammed Columbia and its tributaries. Literally thousands of apple, peach, nectarine, pear and cherry orchards and other vegetable farms. And cold storage everywhere. Headed to Wenatchee Vally the apple capital of the US.
One of the dams, these rivers and dam system runs the full north to south spam of Washington.
Apple Orchard.

Sept. 2, 2012 Another gorgeous day, hard to get use to after all the cold and rain in Alaska. We went to St. Mary's Mission this morning for mass. Little church built in 1886 in the high dessert. There was a school built also for native Americans and is still going today.  Then on to Wenatchee. We stopped at a fruit stand, they are every where, and bought peaches, Bill said the best he had since he was a kid and the neighbor had a peach tree, nectarines, plums, corn, beans. Great corn, everything was so fresh.
