Jul 31, 2012 Traveled through Banff and Jasper National Parks on route 93 today. It was a long day because we took a wrong turn somewhere and lost a few hours but actually saw another national park. I know we keep saying it but it was the most beautiful scenery we ever saw, looked like the Swiss Alps. Hundreds of mountain peaks with thousands of glaciers, alpine meadows, all kinds of rock formations, glacial streams beautiful blues and greens, water falls, lakes and wildlife abound, the last thing we saw was a bull elk with a huge velvety rack, lost the picture though. We saw mountain goats, long horn sheep, some other type of goat, deer, elk, black bears, bald eagles, golden eagles, hawks, herons and other waterfowl. 3,365 miles more than halfway there.
